Annette: Dean it’s been awhile since I interviewed you in 2008… It’s great to be able to touch base with you again. Tell me what you have been up to lately?
Dean: Since we last spoke It’s been crazy and I could never have imagined that my career would be the success it is today.
Can I also thank you Annette for your support over the past few years.
Annette: It’s been my pleasure…
I know that you have decided to predict the winner of American Idol this season (9) I am an Idol fan and very excited about it. Why did you decide to focus your attention on American Idol?
Dean: I love Reality TV and I love America so it’s a perfect combination for me. Plus if I want to be the best I have to take on the best and American Idol is by far my biggest test to date.
Annette: How long have you been predicting the outcome of Reality TV Shows?
Dean: My first ever Reality TV prediction back in 2006 was really done so I could test my predicting skills, it was for the X-Factor and I predicted Leona Lewis would win from her very first audition.
Annette: Amazing… Please tell me about your greatest successes so far?
Dean: It has to be Leona Lewis because she has gone on to be a worldwide success and her career is still going strong 3 years after she won. Another X-Factor prediction that gave me great pleasure was Niki Evans, Niki finished 4th and the media said “Dean you got it wrong”. Well 2 years on and Niki is still doing very well and has also completed 2 stints in the West End in the lead role in Blood Brothers, Niki was also one of the first stars to acknowledge that I had a ‘gift’ that I should be proud of.
Annette: At this time you are already blogging about American Idol auditions and have predicted that a woman will win this year. When and why did you decide it would be a female to win it all this season?
Dean: I just got a strong feeling that a female will win this year, I predicted this as far back as November when I was visiting Orlando, Florida.
Annette: Is Simon your favorite judge? People seem to either love him or hate him…
Dean: Simon Cowell is a legend and whether you love him or hate you have to admit that he is a very successful business man.
I would also like to take this chance to personally thank him because without the Reality shows he makes in the UK I would not have had the career I have today.
Annette: I am one who likes Simon even though he can be a bit rough at times…
When did you first realize you had the gift of prediction? Do you think it is a purely psychic connection you make or a combination of things? You are able to focus positive energy and luck on a person or a sports team, yes?
Dean: I started making predictions from a very young age and I think it’s a combination of gut instinct, intuition and some good old fashioined luck.
I also have a positive outlook in every aspect of my life and I do believe positive thinking and thoughts do help give positive results.
Annette: Tell us about X Factor. I know you have been involved with that show and I have heard it’s coming to American TV next year.
Dean: X-Factor is a great show and the American people will love it.
X-Factor has really helped me in my career and I will always be supportive of it as long as it stays on our screens. The major difference from Idol is that the acts split into 4 categories. Groups, Over 25’s, Boys & Girls.
Annette: I’m a big fan of reality TV so I’ll have to check it out.
You chose the White Sox to win the World Series in 2005 and it came true. I was so impressed with that as choosing a Chicago baseball team at the beginning of the season to go all the way is a brave choice. 
How did that come about?
Dean: I will openly admit this was very, very, lucky, I had just had some worldwide recognition with regards to a prediction I had made for an English soccer team and White Sox fans contacted me and begged me to back their team, which I agreed to do.
Amazingly they went onto to win the World series for the first time in 88 years.
Annette: I saw that you are hosting your own talent competition for charity. What are the details on that event?
Dean: Well because of my success with Reality TV shows I have been called the Simon Cowell of the prediction world, so I thought what about doing a show so acts in my area can show off talents and get some recognition.
The show takes place at Rainton Meadows Arena on Saturday, April 24th 2010, so hopefully we will raise tons of cash for local charities in the region.
